introduction
Hey, what’s up? yusuf here. In this post let’s take a quick review at the Xiaomi Buds 3, which was just released alongside the Xiaomi 12 flagship series phones. I’ve got to say it’s awesome and you should really consider getting one of these if you are interested, because they are just too good for the price. Starting with the packaging,
just like many other Xiaomi earphones, the Buds 3 was wrapped in this kind of square black box. There are some highlights on the back like multi-device smart connection, Bluetooth 5.2 and wireless charging, etc.
Xiaomi Buds 3 review
Open the box, we have the charging case with earbuds inside. Moving on we find the Chinese manual, a type-c cable, and two extra pairs of silicone ear tips. Regarding the case and design of the Xiaomi Buds 3, it’s basically the same as its Pro version,
which was released in September this year. We have an indicator on the front, a resetting button, and the charging port at the bottom, and we find the Xiaomi logo is affixed at the back. I just love this matte finish, which is totally fingerprints resistant and doesn’t get smudges easily. As for the earbuds, I’m always a fan of this stem design, for me personally, I find those stemless earbuds can easily slip away from my ears. The weight for each individual bud is just 4.6grams, which I can wear comfortably.
Despite the compact design, the Buds 3 can run for up to 32 hours when paired with its charging case, while a single full charge offers 7 hours from the earbuds alone. Connection is easy and fast if you own a Xiaomi phone and with the right MIUI OS, then it will have a pop-up to let you connect in seconds.
For other phones then just connect in the usual way, go to your Bluetooth list, and find Xiaomi Buds 3 to pair.In case you want to know the gesture controls. Short press once on the touch sensitive area to pause or start the music. Short press twice to switch to the next song, three times to go back to the previous track. Hold down for 2 seconds to switch among different
noise canceling modes, it supports up to 40dB of active noise canceling, the world is so quiet now. It will automatically pause or play music when you take off or put on one bud. When comes to phone calls, short press once to answer or hang up, press twice to reject. Intuitive gestures, you will get familiar with it in minutes, but again they don’t have volume adjustment on the earbuds.
Regarding the sound quality, I personally think it’s awesome. They sound very clear and well balanced. The vocals and instruments are well separated. I guess it’s definitely one of the best I’ve tried in recent months. Compared to its Pro version, they don’t have that spatial audio feature, no worries, that’s a gimmick feature that most people will find useless anyway.
So to conclude, though I have limited time with the Xiaomi Buds 3, I absolutely loved it. It has a lightweight and durable design, great battery life, decent noise cancellation, and sound quality.
