TV A has good picture quality. The Blacks of TV B are amazing as compared to TV A and TV C. TV C's color optimization is fantastic which is not possible in TV A and B. This post is an end to all this confusion.
I'll review a unique comparison between Samsung Crystal Pro vs LG UP 7500 vs Sony X74. That will help you make a decision. Let's begin.
LG UP 7500 comes with a medium bezel design, plastic frame, and plastic back (thick due to DLED panel). These are 4K TVs with Ultra HD Resolution. They come with an 8 bit FRC VA/IPS DLED panel whose peak brightness is up to 330 nits with a 60Hz refresh rate. It has 2 HDMI ports (1 eARC), 1 USB port,
1 optical port, 1 LAN port, antenna, headphone jack, 2-way Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band wifi connectivity options. It takes 5 seconds to boot up which is good. It comes with the latest and optimized Web OS 6. All the OTT apps are pre-downloaded. Other apps can be downloaded from the LG app store but no app can be downloaded externally (APKs can't be downloaded via USB).
The Web OS is optimized just like Google OS. Content appears on the home screen along with suggestions. Samsung Crystal Pro cones with slim bezel design, plastic body, and plastic frame. It has 4K Ultra HD Resolution with 8 bit FRC VA LED panel which peak HDR brightness is 350 nits. It has a 60Hz refresh rate and it supports HDR10 and HLG. It comes with 3 HDMI ports (1 eARC), 1 USB port,
1 optical port, but no headphone jack. It supports Bluetooth 5.2 and dual-band WiFi. Its boot-up time is approx 5 to 6 seconds (good) but it takes 5-10 seconds to display the content on screen. It comes with Samsung's latest version of Tizen OS. Almost all OTT apps are pre-downloaded. Other apps can be downloaded from Samsung's app store. Apps can't be downloaded externally via APKs.
The OS is optimized and suggestions of content appear on the home screen. However, it is not as optimized and as smooth as LG OS Sony X74 comes with a medium bezel design, plastic body, and plastic frame but with amazing built quality. It has 4K Ultra HD resolution and 8 bit FRC IPS DLED panel whose peak HDR Brightness is 360 nits. It comes with a 50Hz Refresh rate and it supports HDR10 and HLG. It has 3 HDMI ports

(1 ARC), 2 USB ports, 1 optical port, 1 headphone jack, LAN port, Bluetooth 4.2and dual-band wifi connectivity options. It is based on Android 10 OS and takes 20-30 seconds to booth up which is a normal issue with all Android TVs. It is optimized and ready to use once it's ON. Android OS doesn't require any introduction. All the apps appear on the home screen and apps can also be downloaded from the play store.
External APKs can also be downloaded. Let's talk about upscaling capabilities. All three- Sony, Samsung, and LG have average upscaling of SD channels. Sony gives the best upscaling among these three, but there is no vast difference. All the three TVs perform amazingly in HD channels but Sony provides a slightly better upscaling. Samsung and LG are not far behind as Sony's
upscaling is only slightly better. I have played both SD and HD channels with HD set-top boxes. Let's test upscaling by plugging in a USB or Hard drive and playing different video formats in varied resolutions. The first is 720p and all three TVs perform well with good upscaling in 4K formats. This is a 1080p format and all three TVs perform amazingly. Notice only the upscaling and not the colors. The upscaling is brilliant.
All three TVs play 4k content with USB very well. This is a 4k video format played via USB. The upscaling is amazing in all three with no issues. Let's perform some tests. The first is the dimming test. Concentrate on the revolving circle and you'll notice halo or blooming in all three. See it carefully. LG TV has controlled blooming. Samsung has the most whereas Sony has the least blooming. You can lower the speed of the video as then
you'll see it clearly. This is the grey uniformity test. We'll check it on 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% grey screen. All three have good grey uniformity with no issues. You can check the result of the brightness test on the screen. There was floating in stars on all the tree TVs during the

Stress Test, however, the Halo is different. LG is on number 2, Samsung in third, and Sony is on number 1. Now let's do Halo Test. Notice the blur or Halo in the windmill. Sony has the least Halo, LG has slightly more Halo whereas Samsung has the most Halo. Pause or reduce the speed of the video to notice
the Halo carefully. Let's check their performance on Netflix and Amazon Prime. This movie is Dolby Vision content but all three panels don't support it. The movie will come in 4K HDR. HDR content is fantastic as all three support HDR10. This is HDR10 content on Prime and all three TV perform fantastically.
Let's check their performance on Youtube and all three TVs play HDR content on Youtube amazingly. This is HDR content and all three TVs have no issues with playing HDR content. Their color performance is different which we'll discuss later. This is their audio performance. All the audios are played on 75%.
We'll talk about one of the most important factors- Viewing Angles. The same footage will be played from the front and extreme sides. The results are absolutely different in all three TVs. First LG TV- it produces brilliant colors in front. The vibrancy and blacks are good as it is a VA panel. VA panel
produces amazing blacks. But there is a 25% of color and brightness washout on extreme sides. This footage shows approx 25% color and brightness loss. Samsung produces good and warm colors with deep blacks in front as it has a bright panel. There is no issue in the front but there is a washout of up to
25% in colors and brightness on extreme sides. This is the basic property of the VA panel. Sony produces truly magnificent and life-like vibrant colors at the front angle. This IPS panel TV shows amazing colors and deep blacks. The brightness and colors are 90% the same on extreme sides as it is an IPS panel.
I didn't expect such an amazing performance of colors and blacks in extreme sides. LG UP 7500 has a simple fully functional remote with Hotkeys- Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar, and Movies. It lacks a voice assistant button. Magic Remote can be bought separately from the installation team for ₹900. Some people are getting it for ₹2000-₹2500. Contact LG Customer support to negotiate its price. Do remember this. Samsung has given a minimalist design
remote control with voice assistant support. It has three hotkeys- Samsung, Amazon Prime, and Samsung Plus. Sony provides a fully-functional remote control with 4 hotkeys- Youtube, Youtube Music, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. There is a dedicated button for voice assistants too. Let's talk about picture quality which is the most significant character. First LG- it has amazing picture quality.
The colors are amazing and quite close to the natural picture profile. I'd say they are saturated colors. Its blacks and contrast ratio are average. Nevertheless, the blacks are still good. Its HDR performance is fantastic with no issues. Its motion blur is controlled. Every 4K TV has a similar motion blur no matter it is a budget brand or an established brand TV. This motion blur is OK. Its upscaling is good. This TV plays all kinds of
formats amazingly. It has Auto Low Latency mode which is good for gamers. Let's talk about Samsung which produces warm colors. It produces bright picture quality as its panel is bright. Its blacks are deep due to its good contrast ratio. Overall, the viewing performance will be good with good HDR performance. The quality of LEDs in the panel is fantastic which makes this panel bright. However, it has more motion blur as compared to a normal TV.

You won't see 2 objects but as compared to Sony and LG, Samsung's motion blur is slightly high which is not a cause of concern. Let's talk about Sony's picture quality. One word I'll use to describe it is Magnificent. It has amazing colors with an absolutely natural profile. Despite the IPS panel, it produces good blacks. You will be shocked to see this panel performing so well. It has good colors and contrast. There is no issue with its picture quality. Its HDR performance is excellent. Even a slightly better picture quality brings a tremendous change in the overall picture quality. Its upscaling capability is better than the other two TVs, especially in SD and HD channels. This is a big pro of this TV. Let's talk about
their pros and cons. I have already told them their pros in picture quality. Let's discuss their cons. First, let's talk about LG TV. It has medium bezels and not slim bezels which are there in all the latest budget TVs. Skip this TV if it is a con for you. Second- it doesn't support Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision can not be supported with any device. Dolby Vision is a panel's feature and thus it can't be achieved if that panel doesn't have Dolby Vision Support. This TV is not apt for people who watch Dolby Vision content on Netflix. Third- it has fewer connectivity options.
The set-top box, gaming console, and soundbar can't be plugged in together via HDMI port as it has only 2 HDMI ports. Fourth- 90% of the time a VA panel is shipped. It produces good colors and blacks but only from straight viewing angles. There will be a 25% color and brightness loss on extreme sides. This is the basic property of a VA panel. You should keep this in mind. Before discussing Samsung TVs' cons, let me tell you a pro. Its thin bezel design looks extremely premium. Now cons- it doesn't
support Dolby Vision. Skip it if you watch Dolby Vision content extensively. Its audio quality is average. A soundbar is significant if you place the 55-inch model in a big room. Its viewing angles are average as it is a VA panel. You will see a 25% color and brightness loss which is a basic property of a VA panel. You must remember this. Its color profile is warm and not natural. LG's profile is very close to a natural profile. It has a bright panel. Its contrast ratio and blacks are good but LG has better colors. Keep this in mind. There is only one difference between AUE70 or
Crystal Pro and AUE60 Crystal model- in AUE60; a separate button for voice assistant is not given. Only Crystal Pro has voice assistant support. Think before you decide. Let's talk about Sony TV. Its picture quality is just amazing. Let's talk about its cons. It has medium bezels and not a thin-bezel design. It lacks the support of Dolby Vision. All these three budget models of LG, Samsung, and Sony does not support Dolby Vision. It has 3 HDMI ports but no eARC port. The lack of an eARC port is highly disappointing. Otherwise, there is no issue with connectivity
options as there are 2 USB ports and other essential ports with dual-band wifi. Its Motion Flow XR100 technology doesn't create any notable effect. I'll call it a con as there was no significant reduction in motion blur. Its audio quality is fantastic (which is a pro). Its 20W speaker produces extremely good audio. I said the same thing in my review. If you are a regular viewer and you don't need cinematic sound, then this 20W audio is perfect. No soundbar is required with it. Its IPS panel has good picture quality and viewing panel and there is no issue with it.
Last but not least- its price is slightly high. These are the prices of all TVs. Now comes the grand question- which TV should you buy? We buy a TV for its good picture quality. Sony is slightly costly but has amazing picture quality. Sony is the best in terms of picture quality. For a good branded budget TV, then both Samsung and LG are appropriate. Should you buy Samsung or LG or a budget brand TV? The life of a budget brand TV is approx 5 years. Exceptions are always there but in most cases,
after 5 years, the panel or colors of the budget brand TV will become problematic. This generally doesn't happen with Samsung and LG panels. Therefore, you must go for Samsung or LG instead of a budget brand. The choice is yours. Budget TVs are perfect for people with low budgets. However, if you can slightly increase your budget, then I highly recommend you go for either Samsung or LG. my Recommended list of TVs. We create unsponsored content with your help. I will be highly grateful to you.
